A series of tests can be performed when you get BT500 in your hand: Battery Test, Load test, Start test, Charging test, Relay test and Leakage test.
- Battery Test Function: Topdiag BT500 can be used for daily maintenance and inspection of car batteries. As a car battery tester, BT500 is suitable for different test standards, include CCA, JIS, GB, SAE, MCA, DIN, IEC, EN, BCI and more. Regular battery testing can keep the car battery in good working condition at all times and effectively avoid unexpected breakdowns.

Topdiag BT500 is a multi-functional universal battery tester, which can perform functions such as battery test, charging test, leakage detection, load test, printer function, relay test, start-up test, multi-language switching, etc. You can also save the detected current and voltage values , view the data through the playback function, with a built-in relay detection function, and with the relay test box can be faster and more intuitive to determinethe good and bad relays.
Battery Testing
Connect the battery clip to the battery, (red clip into the positive terminal, black clip intothe negative terminal), the clip will not light up the device when connected backwards. Select [Battery], press the [OK] key to enter, and select the test state and test mode according to the actual situation; press [OK] to confirm, follow the prompts on the screen to check the battery status.
Relay Test
Select the "Relay Test" function, press [OK] to enter, and connect the main unit to the relay test box through Type-c. The relay box can be used with 5-terminal relays or 4-terminal relays.
Charging Test
Connect the battery clip on the battery, (red clip into the positive terminal, black clip into the negative terminal) , select "battery test" function, press [OK] to enter, according to the actual situation, select the test state. Press [OK] to confrm, select "Charging Test" and press [OK] to confrm. And operate according to the screen prompt information to detect the battery status.
Leakage Detection
Connect the power clamp of the instrument to the backup battery (red power clamp to positive pole and black power clamp to negative pole). Disconnect the negative terminal of the car and the battery, connect the negative battery of the car with a special leakage test clip, enter "leakage test", select (voltage/current), press [OK] key to select "current", real-time monitoring and record the leakage current of the car. Unplug the fuses in the car's fuse box one by one. Then observe the change in current. If the current decreases suddenly, it proves that there is a possibility of leakage in the fuse circuit.
Load Testing
Connect the battery clip to the battery, select "Load Test" function and press [OK] to enter, follow the screen instructions after entering the function.
Start Test
Connect the battery clip on the battery, (red clip into the positive terminal, black clip into the negative terminal ), Select "Battery Test" function, press [OK] to enter, select the test status according to the actual situation, press [OK] to confirm, select "Start Test" and press [OK] to confrm. And operate according to the screen prompt information to detect the battery status.
